Who Shall Roll The Stone?

1. And when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. 2. And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulcher at the rising of the sun. 3. And they said among themselves, who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulcher?‖ (Mark 16:1-3).

Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James as they were walking the lonely path to the tomb their spirits had been crushed by the same nails that pierced the hands and feet of Jesus. They were discouraged, disheartened, and defeated. And what they wanted more than anything else was to see Jesus one last time, to honor Him by anointing his body with spices and perfumes.

Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James had seen where the body of Jesus was placed and knew that there was very large stone had been placed on the door of the tomb, they suddenly remembered about the stone. They asked to each other

―Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulcher?‖ The stone was nearly 2000 pounds.

But they when they reached near the tomb they were shocked to see that the stone was already rolled away from the door of the tomb. They forgot what the Jesus said about himself in Mark 12:10, ―And have ye not read this scripture; the stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner.‖

The stone that sealed the sepulcher that morning was no match for the Stone inside—the stone the Builders rejected, the Chief Corner Stone! Jesus rolled away that large stone from the door of the tomb. Jesus rolls away THE STONE OF DISCOURAGEMENT, DREAD DOUBT DEFEAT AND DEATH.!

The resurrection of Jesus has approved our Salvation, Forgiveness of our sins and our bodily resurrection too! Hallelujah!
