Love, Tragedy, and a Dinner Party [BB004]

I heard a joke recently: “50 percent of marriages end in divorce, and the other 50 percent end in death!”

While it may be tongue-and-cheek, it actually shows us a lot about how our culture views love.

According to the American Psychological Association, about 50 percent of marriages do end in divorce. A sad reality of the state of marriage today.

Why do so many people find themselves in loveless marriages? What has happened to love?

In this episode, we’re exploring a different, deeper, and more powerful understanding of love. But it’s not about warm fuzzies . . .

. . . it’s about an epic love story we are caught up in that is redeeming the world.

It comes at great cost, but carries the greatest of rewards.

Listen to learn:

  1. Misconceptions about what really happened at the cross,
  2. How the powerful link between love and tragedy is destroyed,
  3. What it means to exchange a sceptor for a toilet brush (this story is pretty dang funny).
