John 15:1: The Divine Garden

I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.

John 15:1 NIV

Humanity grows or withers within a divine garden.

God the Father owns the garden. He nurtures and tends it, desiring that every branch would be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28).

Jesus the Son is the true vine. He is the source of life for every branch (person) in history.

Their shared desire is for our healing and wholeness. After all, what gardener wants branches that wither and go brittle?

Skilled gardeners nourish the soil… They strategically place plants to get the right amount of sunlight to thrive… They water consistently…

We will explore more about the great Gardener and Vine we’re invited to abide in. But today, take John 15:1’s message to heart: the Father and the Son partner to work life in you and through you.

Approach God with this assurance today.
