Hebrews 4:13 – Nothing Is Hidden

Daily Devotional Bible Verse

And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account. (Hebrews 4:13 ESV)

This afternoon, I gave our son Romy a cup (1/4, mind you) of raspberry iced tea. He was so giddy with joy, considering that he nor his siblings, are allowed to drink tea or coffee. (For those who know me, my husband and our children, we don’t need the help of caffeine to be energized! Thank you!) I asked my son to keep it a secret and not tell his dad or siblings. Well, as all mothers know, when it comes to clandestine conversations, children are bursting like fire, unrestrained in sharing their secret and excitement. And eventually, like all secrets and whatever is hidden within ourselves or among others, it will eventually be brought to light and laid bare before us and others. Yikes!

It’s also the same in the eyes of GOD. All the sins we have committed, the wrongs we dispensed and displayed with wanton attitude, same! And all the while, we disregard how it would make our Father in heaven feel. But no matter how long or how deep we are in the quagmire of our appalling sins, GOD longs for us to turn to him. He is continually seeking us and rooting for us to turn from our ways, away from our sinful nature and return to his merciful and graceful hands.

No matter how far away we are from our Father in Heaven, he is always extending his hands for us to take them. You can’t hide your sins or yourself from him. So take the first step and allow him to lead you back into his light, the light that leads to everlasting life. You will be freed from the shackles of sins and all the darkness that surrounds them.

Will you take the first step toward your heavenly Father? His hands are stretched wide open just for you…….his child! CL
