He is Greater

But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.  What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.”

Philippians 3:7-9

My church has been praying big to fill our town’s event center on Easter Sunday.

They made coffee sleeves that are at all the local coffee shops that say “He>_____.”

Meaning: Jesus is greater than whatever you choose to put in the blank.

It has been so encouraging seeing what people choose to write. Freeing to see others write the same things that I, too, struggle with.

As I looked at my coffee sleeve the other day, thinking about what to fill in my blank with… All of these thoughts came rushing in. He is greater than my finances?

✅Yes.

He is greater than my fear?

✅Yes.

He is greater than my struggles?

✅Yes.

He is greater than my health?

✅Yes.

He is greater than anything I have planned for my life?

✅Yes!

I could feel the weight getting taken off my shoulders every time I thought of a potential fill-in-the-blank answer.

It was so freeing to take a moment and remind myself that He is greater than anything in my life. Any plan that I could make, any business that I could own, anything that I could have built on my own…He is so much greater than all of it!

What are you putting in your blank, in His hands, today?

He > ________.
