The holidays are an emotional time for all of us. Some holidays are spent missing lost loved ones, or feeling depressed with our current life situation. Other holiday seasons bring us joy and laughter with friends and family. In each season, it is important to make the time to BE STILL. The Psalmist is pretty clear that during this time of being still, we are able to know God and grow deeper with him.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 – Thanksgiving Presence

The fall leaves have long ushered in the Thanksgiving season, for me. During the long drives between my parents, the plethora of colors in the trees brought a peace to my heart. I knew there would be a gathering of relatives; my favorites, and least favorites, all in one place.
