Daily Devotional Bible Verse
I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are and that he may encourage your hearts, and with him Onesimus, our faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will tell you of everything that has taken place here.
(Colossians 4:8-9 ESV)
As believers there is a joy that comes with knowing how God is at work in a person’s life. This was the same with Paul and the many churches he helped plant or pastor. Paul was sending a friend to the Church in Colossia to give them the letter we know as the book of Colossians. In it, he encouraged and told them that he was doing well in jail and God was working through him there.
We at Short Daily Devotions would like to follow in Paul’s footsteps and let you know what God is doing here. Our hope is to encourage all of you who read our devotions and thank you for being a part of them.
It has been over two years since Short Daily Devotions began. We finally broke the 1000 likes on Facebook and the 10,000 followers on Twitter. We send out over 3,000 emails a day to our email list. Our devotions are still being used by a national magazine and a Christian radio station. We finally broke the 100,000 page views in one month which was awesome and had over 600,000 views for the year. These are exciting numbers for us. We are also working on making our website easier to search this coming year and working on a few top secret projects. We hope and pray that God will continue to bless Short Daily Devotions and bless everyone who is a part of it; including you!
We would like to end this devotion with a short prayer list for you to pray with us:
1. That God would continue to use the devotions for His glory.
2. That the writers would continue to make time for writing and protect them. (We are all in different situations: Ryan moved this year to a new state, is a pastor at a church plant, just had his second child, and is currently looking for a new job; Jordan went through major back surgery this year and is now going to school fulltime; Kevin is busy leading a growing church plant.)
3. That God would continue to multiply those who are able to read our devotions.
